SAN FRANCISCO, Aug. 12, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Schubert Jonckheer & Kolbe LLP is investigating a data breach that led to unauthorized access of the sensitive information of 172,000 customers of Connecticut-based Connex Credit Union.
On June 3, 2025, Connex Credit Union discovered that an unauthorized third party accessed and downloaded files from its systems on June 2, and June 3, 2025. Connex Credit Union notified the Office of the Maine Attorney General and affected individuals on August 7, 2025.
Although the breach occurred in June 2025, Connex Credit Union did not begin notifying affected individuals until or around August 7, 2025, which may have violated state and federal laws. The following information may have been compromised in the breach: names, account numbers, debit card information, Social Security numbers, and/or other government ID.
